![]() As you may know, our exciting and hard fought campaign for the Republican nomination for Lieutenant Governor has come to an end. I truly enjoyed my time traveling this state and telling the great people of Illinois my plans for fixing this budget crisis, winning back private sector jobs for our state, reforming our workers compensation system, and for restoring principled and ethical leadership to state government. Although we did not win, many have told us that we ran a great campaign and did the most possible with the resources that we had. And we did get over 79,000 votes. Now, however, is not the time to dwell on why we did not win, or what we could have done better; instead, it is time to unite behind our Republican nominees and deliver the real reform to Springfield that Illinois residents so desperately need. This is what I am going to do this year and for many years to come, and I hope you join me. I thank my family, friends, and supporters for their tireless work and dedicated support. The volunteers whom have contributed so much time and effort not only to my campaign, but to all of the Republican campaigns, represent the best of what this state has to offer. These great Americans love their country and want to see it turn into a better place for the generations to come. I graciously thank you, again. I look forward to joining with all of you to fight for the conservative causes and values we all believe in for many years to come.
